The Sheet Music Archive
Pieces, parts, ensembles, setlists and march book – your entire sheet music archive in one place.
In the sheet music archive you manage your club's sheet music digitally – from the single piece to its parts to the finished march book. Instead of binders in a cabinet, you have everything searchable in one place, and your musicians carry their sheet music on their phone.
The most important terms
To help you find your way quickly, here are the five words that keep coming up in the sheet music archive:
- Piece – a musical work in your archive, with title, composer, playing time and storage location. A piece contains its parts and recordings.
- Part / part PDF – a part is the score of one instrument (e.g. "Clarinet in B♭"). Its associated sheet is stored as a part PDF in the piece.
- Ensemble – defines which parts a particular ensemble needs, and in how many copies.
- Setlist – the order of pieces for a performance or a concert.
- March book – small, print-ready booklets per part to tuck into the march book.

Who maintains the sheet music archive?
The archive is usually looked after by one person – the sheet music manager or archivist, or the club's administrator. Only with the right permission can you create pieces, upload parts or delete anything. All musicians may view the sheet music and play it on their phone.
