Series & Templates

Automatically generate recurring events like the weekly rehearsal and use templates for similar events.

When events repeat – the weekly rehearsal, for example – you don't have to create them by hand every week. That's what series and templates are for. Both are set up by whoever is allowed to manage events (e.g. conductor, board or administrator).

Recurring events (series)

A series automatically generates many individual events on a fixed rhythm – for example "every Friday at 7:30 pm".

Create a series

In the events area, open the series and create a new one. You provide the same details as for a single event: title, type, time, location/room, invitation and reminders.

Set the rhythm

Decide how often the event repeats (e.g. weekly) and until when. The app automatically creates all the individual events from that.

Done – the events appear

From now on, the rehearsal shows up in the event list regularly without you having to do anything else. Each individual event works like a normal event – with its own acceptance and decline.

Adjust individual events

If a single event in the series is cancelled or moved, you can cancel or change exactly that one event separately – the rest of the series is unaffected.

Templates for similar events

A template is a pre-filled blueprint for events that you keep creating in a similar way – for example a "bandstand concert" with a fixed schedule but a changing date.

  • Create a template with the details that always stay the same (title, type, invitation, reminders …).
  • When creating a new event, you pick the template – all fields are already filled in.
  • You only add the date and time and tweak the small details if needed.

Series or template – which fits?

Use a series when an event repeats on a fixed rhythm (rehearsal every week). Use a template when events are similar but take place at irregular times.
