Festival tasks
A festival's checklist – create, assign and tick off tasks on the festival or on one of its areas.
A festival isn't only made of shifts. The tent has to be ordered, the permit obtained, the trailer picked up – work that happens before the festival and still belongs to it. That's what every festival's own task list is for.
You find it in the festival detail view under Tasks. If a task belongs to a specific area, it also shows up there – in the bar area, for example, "have the tap system cleaned".
Creating a task for the festival
In the Tasks section, tap "Task". The form is the same one as in the Tasks area – festival and area are already filled in. The same assignment paths are open as everywhere else: individual people, club roles or entire sections. You can just as well attach an existing task to a festival later: the task form has a Festival field for that.
The festival lead may do this
Creating and ticking off tasks on a festival is allowed for anyone who may manage the festival – including the event lead, without them being allowed to manage the whole club's tasks. Free-standing tasks without a festival stay reserved for those who may manage tasks.
What these tasks can do
They are ordinary tasks – they appear in the Tasks area as well as under "Mine" for the people responsible, they carry a due date and reminders, and when deleted they go to the trash. The only difference is that they know which festival they belong to: in the task list, the festival name comes before the due date.
Every member may tick them off, as with all tasks – every task that shows up in their list. The whole festival's tasks are seen by whoever may manage the festival or the tasks.
They come along when you copy
When you copy a festival onto a new date, you can take the tasks with you: they become open again, keep their assignments and keep their distance from the festival start. Whoever ordered the tent three weeks ahead last year has the task three weeks ahead this year too.
