Shifts
Assign helpers to shifts, let members take open shifts themselves, and print the roster as PDF.
No festival runs without helpers. With shifts you assign who pitches in when and where – at the tap, at the grill, at the cash desk. Members can even grab open shifts themselves.
Creating a shift
Who helps?
Assign the shift to a person. That can be:
- a member of your club, or
- an external person – for example a friend or family member who helps out without being in the club themselves.
If you leave the shift without a person for now, it stays open – and a member can take it themselves later (see below).
Set role and time window
Enter the shift details:
- Role – the task, for example "serving", "grill" or "cash desk".
- Time window – from when to when the shift lasts.
- Status – shows where the shift stands (for example open, assigned).
Taking open shifts yourself
So not every assignment has to go through the festival lead, members are allowed to take open shifts themselves.
- Every member sees the still-open shifts at the festival.
- With "Take", the member signs themselves up for a shift.
- If something changes, they can sign back out with "Withdraw" – the shift is then open again for someone else.
Pitching in without management rights
Signing up for an open shift requires no special rights. That's exactly what "pitching in" is: even without management rights you can help out and grab a shift.
Roster as PDF
Once the assignment is set, you export the roster as PDF – to print for the notice board or to send to all helpers. The roster shows who is assigned when and in which role.
Roster without finance permission
The roster can be exported by anyone who may manage the festival – even without finance permission. It contains only the helper assignments, no money amounts. The statements with figures are found instead under POS.
